The Ku Klux Klan started in the early 1920s as a social group and soon turned into an organized crime group. The foundation of this group was to take the rights of African Americans away. White superiority was the termination of the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK has killed dozens of African American people and was the first terrorist organization. (Wikipedia) The radical of the KKK started in the December of 1865. Six veterans from Tennessee started the KKK. The name of one of their lead was Nathan Bedford Forrest who was also a veteran of the civil war. The Klan wore white robes and conoid shaped head gear that made them appear larger. At this time the KKK was a social group and it hadnt fairish been sack out for violence. The group was very secretive and soon became lie with as the Invisible Empire. (Wikipedia) Later on the KKK was know for very violent and racist acts. These acts include burning crosses, provides and cleanup spot spot African Americans and anyone who associated with them. The KKK had three steps to warn people, 1.
stick a cross on their front yard, 2. Burn their house down, and 3. shoot them. This was a very violent and unnecessary approach. The KKK claimed to take up felt betrayed by their country by giving rights to the agent slaves of the African American decent. (PBS) The KKK soon spread fear all everywhere the south.
